Curious about leveraging AI responsibly in your work or confused and don't know where to start? Join the conversation with Dr Matthew Mort and Matthew Hayden for a practical 'AI in the Workplace' session. Get a taste of how to work alongside AI as a collaborative assistant (co-creation), with a focus on responsible AI use and data governance best practices. The Matts understand that adopting AI is more about mindset than technology. Cut through the hype and start your AI journey with guides who've been exactly where you are.
Our approach to AI implementation is guided by four core principles that ensure technology serves people—not the other way around.
AI should enhance human work, not replace it. We focus on reducing repetitive tasks and creating more meaningful work experiences whilst keeping humans in control of the technology.
Use AI tools ethically and transparently. Always verify AI outputs, protect sensitive data, and maintain appropriate human oversight of automated processes. Be organised and deliberate in your AI adoption.
Be curious and run experiments on non-critical tasks. Build confidence through hands-on practice and discover what works best for your specific needs. The best way to learn is by trying and adapting.
Only use IT-approved AI tools for work tasks. Avoid "shadow AI" (using unauthorised tools) which puts your organisation at risk. Never input sensitive information into public AI tools and be vigilant about data security.
